What a great point, Amy. I'm terrified of flying. Hate it. But it's not necessarily the finality of death that scares me, but rather the 2 - 10 minute period of time that I would have to KNOW I was about to die. That... I just couldn't take. It's probably why I'm so against the death penalty. Knowing it's going to happen is the cruelest thing in life. Now, if I'm goin' down, I'll always hope for a Sully Miracle.
