A very special entry.

I almost got in a wreck this morning. The car in front of me on the highway came screeching to a halt. I followed suit. In turn, each of the cars behind me did as well. Fortunately no cars made contact, but my five year old hurt his shoulders on the straps of his carseat. (I think he was really just scared.) When we got home he was still crying. I hugged him and he nearly strangled me as he hugged me back. The hug lasted a long time. I couldn't let go. I could only think about what if things had not turned out so well and I had to spend the rest of my life aching to have this moment with him just one more time.

I got bumped into by a passerby on my way to work this morning.

I didn't cry, but I'd be willing to if it ... you know ... got me some huggin'.

Don't ever let go first if your kid chooses to hang on to a hug a long time. I would do anything in the world to be able to hug my son again.

Your blog is hilarious. I love the theme. I don't have time to read while working fulltime, missing my son, trying to keep the rest of my family intact, and writing my blog. So I stay up too late at night, reading other blogs anyway, then hurt all day from too little sleep.

Thanks for your brevity and your humor. I'll be back!!!
