It seems like everybody just wants everybody ELSE to stop texting while driving.

Yeah, I'm guilty, too.

But then we also text people we know are driving, so they have to read it and be distracted by our beeps. So even if they don't "text", they have looked away to look at their phone to read our "running late" or "buy milk on the way home" missive. Not good. Not good.

There are apps that can put your phone in driving mode or something like that, that make it so texts don't come through until you take ti out of that mode. I've never tried one, though I should. I do have an app that will read texts while I'm driving, but it's not that good.
