The future of this country will not be decided by who wins tomorrow, but by who votes tomorrow.

The world is in turmoil. Tomorrow we will send a message around the globe. It will either be, "Whatever" or "We're on it."
I don't care who you are voting for, just VOTE! We are way, way better than 57%.

This comment really does not make sense to me. If you do not care who wins why does it matter who votes. The country needs good leadership yea but it also needs people who care more than just believing they only need to vote.
We need to take pride in our selves, in our country, and begin to accept the beliefs of others and find a common ground.
We should always vote but we should also make sure we do not over step our bounds when it comes to money or other wasteful or risky ways. We also need to accept that a wind mill or solar panels may not love lovely in our neighborhood but will move us to a greener and healthier planet. Sorry for the rant, love you and the Blog! Sorry, Ask. Did you get to vote? I know you're happy with the outcome, but were you voting in CA? Would have liked to see that Prop 8 go away...
Anon#2: What I meant was this. We are the leading country in the world. Sometimes we are great leaders. Other times, we make mistakes. But when only 57% of us show up to vote it sends a strong signal to the world that we are not taking our role very seriously. We will never act perfectly, but at least we can act responsibly. A strong turn out shows we are trying. And yes, I agree that we have to do more than vote. And, btw, I love the way those windmills look!
Anon(who wrote second): Wow. Powerful.
Layla: Yeah, right??
